"Southpark is a quiet and peaceful place until the latest Terrance and Philip movie comes out. Once all the kids see it, all hell breaks loose, as the parents try to find a way to stop their kids from saying all the naughty words coming out of their mouths. The parents blame Terrance and Philip, place them under Citizen's Arrest, and declare war on their home country, Canada. It is up to the kids to save the world from Satan and keep Terrance and Philip from being executed" Anonymous
Hello guys!
Use this entry to send your opinion about today´s film "Bigger, longer and uncut". Did you enjoy it or not? Why?
hello miss Elena, I'm gabriel from your class, well, I can say that I liked the movie, not because of the "bad words" or the sex jokes, I liked the movie because I believe it makes a real criticism about the behavior, intolerance, and the mentality of some people and countries... but well, I understand the parents getting worried about what was happening with their children... but, as one of the children's mom said at the end of the movie "I should had put more attention on you.." I think this is most a message for the parents, to spend more time with their children, because they need our support about a lot of things happening in this world... thanks Miss :)
ResponderEliminarHi guys!
ResponderEliminarI think it was a great movie, it´s fun, and even when it´s a little exaggerated I never got a moment of distraction.
The situations which they present really are like in real life, for example, the racism, and the hate which the norteamerican people feel about the canadian...
Ok, maybe it´s racist, and juvenile, but defintely, it shows how the world is right now.
Well, first i must say that even if it is not the exactly kind humor i like (making jokes with explicit words), i enjoyed the movie because it criticize many real situations and many personalities, i really didn't mind if it was very explicit, at the end everyone expresses their own ideas as we want.
ResponderEliminarI think it was funny, i like black humor but the movie (because of its objective) was saying and saying bad words, but i don't mind, i learnt new words and i think that swearing is a way of expression, i mean: everybody has said at least one bad word when you are angry :)
Elena Murillo
Hi! I really liked the movie, it was so funny. Firstable i think this movie is kind of interesting ´cause it makes you realize about american culture and society. In spite of bad words i agree with elena because is a way to express all bad feelings but wihtout harming anyone. This movie shows us too the impact of tv on society... gisela solis
ResponderEliminarHi teacher and pals!! I'm Mariana.
ResponderEliminarWell I enjoy the movie, because make me concern about the environment the kids of this decade are growing up.
I think the movie makes a criticism of the parents in general, especially of the american ones, who let their child to do practically what ever they want, instead of look up of the things their child do or watch; instead of explain them the words, the behavior (in this case of the film their children saw) by themselves, their prefer to blame the society, the TV., etc, when, actually, they are part of the society they blame too much.
I think all the parents should spend more quality time with their kids to prevent they’ll get the wrong message or a bad message, and that force the kids to have inconvenient models to follow.
Hi everyone!!!!!
ResponderEliminarI really enjoy this movie, I´m not completely agree with the vocabulary used in the film but I have to accept that was funny.
This kind of TV programs show us situation that we could think are normal but in real life there aren´t so good that we would wish. Although kids can´t understand the main idea in tv programs they can get bad ideas of culture and behavior, therefore parents should spend their time with them in order to teach them good habits.

This is Frey´s comment (I just published it under my name):
ResponderEliminarHi everyone, I love this movie for a lot of things, one of them are the
excellent musical numbers this film contains and also because it has a little but important
message: Dont lose the perspective of what and why are you figthing for, or it
will be corrupted until the real purpose will be lost.
Frey
Hi teacher and guys! I´m Cesia!
ResponderEliminarWell besides I don´t like at all this type of humor, I like the movie because is about the society and is a hard critic which we often need to open our eyes and see the problems that we are living, in order to solve them.
Finally as Gabriel and Mariana said before, I think that the parents have to put more attention to their children, they have to listen them, solve their doubts but not with lies because this will only give to them problems.
hi everyone!!! i´m Fernanda Álvarez. About the movie we saw today in the lab i just want to say that i didn´t like it at all, but i recognize that this movie has some good jokes!!! i don´t be scared about this kind of films because i think many times the reality is worse and we have to live every day with this situation.
ResponderEliminari agree with some of your comments that we have to be more alert all the days because, if we won´t, many times we can understand many different things about one idea and the impact can be terrible.
Hello I'm Ricardo,
ResponderEliminarI really enjoy the movie because it has the kind of humor I like. I think this kind of cartoons doesn't have anything good to teach us. Maybe the last part as some classmates said has the intention of makes the parents think about their children but finally we can't understand that intention because the bad words, explicit scenes of violence and the jokes made along the movie are more interesting for the TV watcher.
I just enjoy the kind of things we can't enjoy normally all the days
Finally The people have the capacity to say what is good for them and what is not good
This is Karen Garcia´s comment (published under my name).
ResponderEliminarHi!!! I´m Karen
All I have to say is that I didn´t like the movie as I expected. I mean there were really good jokes and I truly laughed, but it’s easy to see why a lot of people may be offended by this film, it makes fun of black people, Jews, women, homosexuality, homeless people, etc. However I think it shows part of our reality. I enjoyed it but just a little.
I liked the movie because instead of being just fool cartoons, they mix reality with silly things and it´s kind of cool.
ResponderEliminarI don´t have issues to heard a lot of bad words, I mean, that cartoons exists to entertain us and for some people could be enjoyable and for others could be completely the opposite.
I laughed a lot and enjoyed it all.

Jossymar...
ResponderEliminarHey everyone! well, i think South Park it's a good cartoon because they critizise all the problems that are happening in the hole world. They expose through sarcasm how society is very empty and without values, and the real message about this cartoon is to make conscience in us. I like it because it´s like watching the news but in a funny way!
take care, Jossymar Ordaz
Hi everyone
ResponderEliminari tink the movie gives us a criticism about the things that we do without thinking if it`s what we want, also has sticky songs and good jokes.
i like it!!
hi!!! well, I think the film is very good because it has scenes of humor and satire. Beyond the language that can be interpreted as "obscene" represents the feelings and thoughts of children and teeneges today.
ResponderEliminarAlso, a critique on the war, showing the reasons for starting a war (absurd, even).
So, i Think this movie represents bad things about society
bye!!!

Hi guys, I´m Elizabeth:
ResponderEliminarI never had seen this cartoon; unfortunately my headphones were out of and at the beginning of the film I just read the subtitles. The cartoon was funny but is so hard to me understand when the people speak so fast (well when the people speak with a normal speed), but I think that I could understand the main ideas.
Since my point of view, the two main ideas are:
To show us the intolerance with other countries´ people and
The parents should had more care with their children and also they should had more communication with them.
From my point of view the issue of the film is to critic the procupation of people about the censorship of bad words, when actually, the real problem are the topics that they (the authorities)censor.
ResponderEliminarIn general this cartoon has a lot of good topics for people has to analyze, if the show didn´t have that vocabulary the audience would be bigger.
But like we all lovers of South Park know: "South Park without swearings, isn´t South Park".
Hi people...
ResponderEliminarSorry for letting the message "a little late" but I couldn't before (school is absorbent). I'm a South Park's fan. I knew that t.v. show through my cousin. Actually, my e-mail account is related to Kenny. Whatever...I think that South Park's humor it's really sour but a great critique about the most important and controversial topics nowadays. Though for some people it's like an insult for their belief. Anyway it's a very funny, interesting program. Regards

ResponderEliminarWhat's up guys.
ResponderEliminarI'm a South Park's big fan, I enjoy every time I see the serie and this movie. In fact, watch that serie on the internet is one of my strategies to learn english. I think is just terrific, I mean, is one of this movies that could be a little disgusting sometimes but is really funny.
If you want to learn how to insulting others, you have to watch at least one entire South Park´s season, and get a delightful moment with all the vocabulary; because, as the movie teach us, the bad words someday will save the world.
Alberto VázquezSalazar
This is one of my favorite movies, I know it by heart and I enjoy every time I see it, South Park is one of my fav series of all time, I grow up watching it, I love every song and I think that is not too bad to swearing,Its bad only if you are insulting others ang being rude. I think there's a message of humanity in the movie.

*Hi everybody:
ResponderEliminarMi name is Ilse, and I think the south park mixed up the tree factors:
1) Is the critical a moral valiums in the American society.
2) IS the topic about education in the one different culture and the acculturation process.
3) And finally I think is the critical power process, in other words, is the critical of political system.
This program gives the opportunity for express in colloquial form (a make the reference in bad words ) the diversity transformation the society with the process of acculturation, and the anthropological process that the human build relations in the globalization.

This is Juan Pablo´s comment:
ResponderEliminarI´m Juan Pablo and I like the movie in general because it talks about a lot of things that people dodn´t like to talk about, and I completely agree with Ilse because I think that the three points she mentions are the objective of rhe movie. The only thingh that I didn´t like so much in the movie are the songs. See you and sorry for being late
Juan
This is Lourdes comment:

for many people but I personally don't like it.

This is Alex G.´s comment:
ResponderEliminarI think the movie was good, but it was a little rude. The topic was fine, because it shows the kind of information of some movies or some TV
programs. I think that the parents must supervise the type of movies that their children see on TV. But the solution is not the one that shown the movie, the real solution is the education that parents give their children.
Alex
Hello miss Elena!
ResponderEliminarI'm Roy, Your most recent student joined to your group (510). I finish seeing the film and I didn't enjoy it so much. I'm not a great fan of South Park because although the film has political and social messages of relfexion the film is extremely violent and it includes subjects like: Sex, stupid militarism, bad american education, war, racism, nationalism, black humor, deceives to the presidential system, homosexual pairs, etc.. It sets out all these social problems of a gallant but simultaneosly funny form. As the mixture between Sadam Hussein with the Devil. But generally I enjoyed the black humor that characterizes South Park Episodes.
A hug
Roy
